I played a short session on Pokerstars yesterday just before I went to work. I played 215 hands and finished +$25.30. I played some interesting hands and I'm not playing so tight as I use to.
Here are a few hands:
I almost flopped a royal flush. I don't think I ever hit a royal flush in a real money game. I remember my first time I hit a royal flush, I was playing playmoney chips at Party poker.. I was getting a straight flush like every day when I was 14 tabling but never a royal. Anyway, here are 3 hands.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is one of the first hands I played. Blinds are only .10/.25 and someone raises it up to $3.75. I look at my hand, pocket 9s. Normally I would just muck my cards but this is where pokertracker comes in handy. I look at his stats, he has played 80%+ hands and I noticed he just lost a big pot. So he's probably on tilt so I min raise to isolate and if one of the big stacks comes over the top then I have to fold. Big blind calls so does original raiser leaving him with $5.90. He pushes $5.90 on the flop, I'm calling 100% of the time, no matter the flop. Luckily he didn't hit an out and I take down a $30 pot.

This one is interesting. I limp in with 9s UTG. Button raises, I call hoping to hit a 9 on the flop. I check flop, so does the button. Board pairs the queen which is a great card for my hand. I go for the value bet of $1.75. Button raises to $4.75. Now, I go through the checklist:
- He is somewhat of a bully in position plus he probably thinks the queen could not have helped my hand
- There are a million draws out there so he could easily have a draw
- $4.75 bet is small and kind of looks like a steal
- $12 raise makes it look like I'm pot committed
- My 3bet on the turn is a very strong move
- I could easily have a queen in my hand, hoping to check raise on the flop
So I raise to $12 and he folds. If he pushes all in than I fold unless I can pick up some kind of tell.

Preflop, I was contemplating a raise (squeeze play) but decided just to call. On the flop I wasn't sure whether to check or bet. I have 2 overs plus a flush draw so 15 outs. I decided to bet out $1, original raiser calls. I check turn and he bets $1 into an almost $4 pot. I take it as weakness because there are many draws and why would he want me to draw cheaply. I was thinking he has something like middle pair or ace 5. A king came on the turn so he must be scared of that (that's what I was thinking). So I check raised to $3. Now he calls, pretty weak so I pushed all in for a pot sized bet on the river. He calls and shows trip 9s. My first thought was I made a bad play and I shouldn't try that play again. But the other player played it terrible and allowed me to draw cheaply. He had a great opportunity to reraise on the turn but played it weak. I guess it turned out good for him this time but his weak game is going to get him broke.
