Eastgate and Demidov Sign With PokerStars

Eastgate and Demidov have joined Team Pokerstars Pro.

Last year, Eastgate and Demidov fought through a field of 6,843 players at the 2008 World Series of Poker. They found themselves headsup with the winner receiving $9.1 million and the runner up receiving $5.8 million. They fought a long and tight fight but in the end, Eastgate came out on top.

Demidov:

It feels great to finally be part of the team. It's going to allow me to travel more and play more events. I really enjoy playing offline in live events and it's great to become a team member with all these other great players.

Daniel Negreanu:

I've played against Ivan at the WSOP-E and also watched them both closely throughout the WSOP final table – both players represent the young new rising poker talent emerging in Europe and they're a great addition to the team.

Pokerstars have WSOP Champs Greg Raymer, Joe Hachem, and Chris Moneymaker on Team PokerStars Pro. Pokerstars also recently signed poker pro Johnny Lodden.

Both of the new Team PokerStars Pros can be found playing on PokerStars, under the screen names "PeteEastgate" and "Ivan Demidov".
